SADDLE CREEK
HEADQUARTERS BUILDING
Lakeland, Florida |
|

|
| Site
The company needed a new corporate facility, but wanted to
keep the design low key enough to fit alongside it's trucking
terminal hub in Lakeland. |
|
|
 |
| Program
Provide space for the administrative offices of eight departments,
with conference, training and board room facilities, as well as
support areas such as lunch room, file room, computer room mail
room, etc. The space while functioning as the executive
offices of the majority of administrative personnel in the company,
should reflect the nature of their business - warehousing and
distribution of consumer goods. |
|
|
 |
| Solution
The design of the exterior mimics the "warehouse" look of
the terminal facilities surrounding it, while the interior features
smaller "buildings" clustered in the core and offices in the outer
ring. The "buildings" within (complete with roofs) house the
training/conference rooms and board rooms. The use
of wood detailing adds sophistication and warmth to the warehouse
concept. |
